A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

Heroes play a crucial role in moving our world forward and making it more livable, better and sustainable. Some of them remain unsung, unknown and uncelebrated. Tabe Jeanne falls within this case. To shine a light on Tabe Jeanne and perpetuate her social engagement, I established the Tabe Jeanne Foundation to invigorate communities and societies, which was her hallmark. The Tabe Jeanne Foundation is named after my late grandmother Tabe Jeanne who left a legacy: We don't live for ourselves, but for others. Others are our immediate community or the entire nation. Others are simply people and communities around you and those far away. This ideological legacy is the source of my inspiration to help disadvantaged people and communities in West Africa. TABE Jeanne was a strategic and methodical woman. As a woman of action, she was truly devoted to community building and the cause of human well-being. During her lifetime, Tabe Jeanne managed to create a climate of peace where conflicts prevailed, enabled poverty-stricken and neglected children to attend school, and united people around the common good. Tabe Jeanne sacrificed all her time, energy, experience and even her meagre financial resources to the success of others. The Tabe Jeanne Foundation keeps the name, values, actions and legacy of Tabe Jeanne alive. Dr. RODRIGUE ADJASSIN
